Tattoo Sponge – for easy application of temporary tattoos

Our sustainable sponge cloths are practical, stylish, and fair. Made from 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton, they are highly absorbent, lint free, and pleasantly soft.

They are a long lasting, reusable everyday helper: washable up to 95 °C, durable in use, and even home compostable. In household compost, they decompose by around 80% within eight weeks without leaving any residue.

Delivered in a dry state. When in contact with water, the pop-up effect activates and the sponge becomes soft, smooth, and ready to use. These eco friendly sponge cloths combine sustainability, functionality, and strong design in a single product.

Taking responsibility on your skin.

All our temporary tattoos comply with the strict requirements of the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. This guarantees skin friendly and certified materials. Production takes place 100% in Austria.

All ingredients used for Print Tattoo are vegan, and our products are manufactured under Print Tattoo Organics with a sustainable paper backing as standard. This ensures zero plastic waste during use.

Yes. Based on the formulation and raw material information, all Print Tattoo temporary tattoos are gluten-free.
By default, the tattoos are covered with a paper protective sheet and cut to size. After that, they are bundled and conveniently packed.
Optionally, tattoo sheets can be individually packed in a folded leaflet or cardboard sleeve.
In principle, any colors present in your artwork can be printed.
In addition to standard black and process colors, we can print glitter and metallic tones such as gold, silver, bronze, and anthracite.
For online shop orders, color tattoos are automatically produced with white ink underprint. This makes transparent areas appear white on skin and ensures colors look more vivid.
Print Tattoos—the water-transfer skin tattoos many of us know from childhood—are applied easily and quickly with water.
Print Tattoos are manufactured exclusively in Austria and in accordance with the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.
They are also tested according to toy safety standard EN 71-3/9/11. You can be confident they are safe and easy to use. Further details and original views of all patch tests and certificates are available here.

The easiest way to set up print data for your Print Tattoos is to use our layout templates and follow these steps:
Download templates: www.print-tattoo.com/druckdaten-erstellen-mit-layoutvorlagen/
Open the template in your preferred graphics software (we recommend Adobe Illustrator).
Edit the template and then save as “Illustrator PDF” (include 3 mm bleed for full-bleed designs).
Upload files via the online shop depending on the order flow, or send by email.
Alternative for non-designers:
Upload your desired artwork to our online shop as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG → we’ll place it in the selected format and, if you selected “with white underprint,” we’ll apply white ink behind the entire design.
We offer four metallic tones: gold, silver, anthracite, and copper/bronze. Minimum line width is 0.5 mm.
Want Print Tattoos in metallic tones? Please follow these steps:
Download the template “Metallic Farbtöne”: www.print-tattoo.com/druckdaten-erstellen-mit-layoutvorlagen/
Open the template in your graphics software (we recommend Adobe Illustrator).
On the “your design” layer, create the shapes you want printed in metallic.
Color all elements on this layer with the “Metallic Farbton1” swatch (this is 100% black, which will print in the metallic tone chosen in your order).
If you need a second metallic color on the same sheet, use the “Metallic Farbton2” swatch (shown as 100% cyan).
Alternative for non-designers:
Provide a file (JPEG, PNG, or any other format) in which the artwork intended to be printed in metallic appears in one uniform color. Before production, we will send you a print approval file so you can check the artwork again.
On the Layout Templates page, you can download templates for setting up your custom tattoos. A back-print template is also included, with all mandatory elements that must be placed on the back.
You can design the back in grayscale (change fonts, add logos or design elements) as long as all required elements are included.
To order a tattoo including a custom back print in the shop, simply upload a 2-page PDF (front and back).
If you notice your design is mirrored in the print approval file—no worries.
The approval file appears mirrored because the design is printed reversed onto the tattoo paper. Once the tattoo is applied to skin or an object, it appears correctly oriented.
Please keep at least 5 mm clearance between your design and the paper edge.
Want Print Tattoos with white ink? Please follow these steps.
If you order the product “Color temporary tattoos” in the online shop, white ink is included by default.
For file setup:
Download the template: www.print-tattoo.com/druckdaten-erstellen-mit-layoutvorlagen/
Open it in your preferred graphics software (we recommend Adobe Illustrator).
In the Layers panel, make the layer named “Weißdruck” (White Ink) visible.
On this layer, create the areas you want to be backed with white.
Color all elements on this layer with the “white” swatch (this is a spot color in 100% magenta that will print as white ink).
More information on preparing files with white ink is available here: Download guide
Alternative for non-designers:
Upload your artwork to our shop as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG → we’ll place it in the selected format and apply white ink behind the entire design.

1. Clean and dry the target skin area.
2. Remove the protective film from the front.
3. Press the adhesive side onto clean, dry skin.
4. Rub the tattoo, then wet thoroughly with a sponge or cloth and press for about 20–30 seconds.
5. Gently lift one corner of the backing paper to check if the image has transferred.
If the paper does not release easily, moisten again with a sponge.
6. Let the area air-dry — do not pat dry.
The easiest way is with our adhesive remover (available as a wipe or spray).
Alternatively, rub the tattoo with soap, cream, or baby oil to remove it at any time.
Temporary tattoos can be stored for about two years. Avoid extreme heat and humidity.
